Turmeric is a must-have in my kitchen (and even in my medicine cabinet!). This bright yellow root brings heaps of health perks, but let’s be real, its taste isn’t everyone’s favorite. That’s where these fat bombs come in – they’re a yummy solution to sneak in your daily turmeric fix!

Why Turmeric and Honey?

You might be wondering why we’re raving about turmeric + honey. Well, let me break it down for you. Turmeric is a powerhouse ingredient packed with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. It has been used for centuries in traditional medicine for its healing properties. Honey, on the other hand, is not just a sweet treat for your taste buds; it’s also a skincare superhero. It’s naturally antibacterial and full of antioxidants, making it perfect for treating acne and other skin issues.

The Benefits of Turmeric and Honey for Your Skin

1. Fights Acne

Acne can be a real confidence killer, but turmeric and honey are here to save the day! Turmeric’s anti-inflammatory properties help reduce redness and inflammation associated with acne, while honey’s antibacterial properties help fight off acne-causing bacteria.

2. Brightens Skin

Say goodbye to dull, lackluster skin! Turmeric contains curcumin, a compound known for its skin-brightening properties. When combined with honey, it creates a powerful concoction that will leave your skin looking brighter and more radiant than ever before.

3. Soothes Irritation

Whether you’re dealing with sunburn or sensitive skin, turmeric and honey can help soothe irritation and calm redness. Their anti-inflammatory properties work wonders on irritated skin, providing relief and promoting healing.

4. Anti-Aging Properties

Who doesn’t want youthful, radiant skin? Turmeric and honey can help turn back the clock on aging skin. Turmeric’s antioxidants help fight free radicals that contribute to premature aging, while honey helps moisturize and plump up the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

How to Make the Ultimate Skin Bomb

Adding honey to the turmeric powder helps it stick together and also covers up the bitter taste, while coconut oil makes the mixture smooth and delicious. Remember, these are supposed to be small, like the size of a quarter. But be cautious not to overdo the coconut oil, as it might upset your stomach (and send you running to the bathroom!).

When you’re mixing these ingredients, be mindful because turmeric can stain clothes and skin.

Ingredients

2 and ½ TBSP turmeric

1 tsp quercetin powder (optional)

½ tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp ground ginger (or clove)

1 large pinch black pepper

5 tsp raw honey

2 tsp coconut oil

Instructions

Line a baking sheet with the parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, stir all of the powdered ingredients together.

Add softened coconut oil and honey to the powder. If the mixture is too dry add a little coconut oil until it comes together in a thick dough.

Use a spoon to scoop out a small amount of the mixture and roll it into a marble sized ball.

Place on the baking sheet and freeze until firm.
